The first Rook Trophy was unveiled in 1990. Since the Rook Bird was not available for the trophy a chicken was substituted which drew several laughs until the trophy fell apart.

The trophy has a green wood base with plates showing each past Tournament champion. A large gold cup with two handles sits atop the base.
Each Christmas the family gets together in Eagle Lake, Florida near what used to be Cypress Gardens. On a few occasions we have had a short ceremony by passing the trophy from one member of the winning team to another.
